Join us as we explore the exhibition Underrated- Female Artists in Leipzig around 1900. The exhibition gives an insight about the struggles of female artists around 1900. It was set up on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Saxon-Thuringian industrial and commercial exhibition in 1897 when only 34 of the 362 artists were women. One of the participating artists was Marianne Fiedler, a classmate of Käthe Kollwitz. Our member Shannon Maisel, an artist herself, will be with us for your upcoming questions.
