The Leipzig International Women’s Club welcomes members from our sister International Women’s Clubs from around the world to help us celebrate our 25th anniversary with a weekend of culture, music and fun.
Friday, May 5th,2023
Starting on Friday, May 5th, 2023, we will welcome you to Leipzig with an opening reception.
You will have an opportunity to meet the other participants and get a briefing on the events of the weekend.
From there, you will join your hostess and proceed to one of our member’s private homes for an intimate dinner for 4-8 to get an early start on making new acquaintances in a small group setting.

Saturday, May 6th, 2023
On Saturday, we plan on showing you the highlights of our city. Leipzig has an illustrious history in publishing, music, and trading, and some pretty interesting architecture– we love to show it off.
After the bus tour, the City of Leipzig will officially welcome us at the Old City Hall.
We will split up into small groups for lunch and gather again at the Thomaskirche to hear the famous boy’s choir give their weekly concert.
From there you will have a couple of hours on your own before we begin the evening’s festivities.

The Ring Cafe
The Ring Cafe opened on January 13, 1956. With 800 seats, it was the largest café in the GDR at the time. For 33 years it was the favorite restaurant of the Leipzig elite. In keeping with the mystique of our venue, we are recommending recreating the elegance of those days by wearing party attire. Since it is our 25th or silver anniversary we are suggesting a color scheme of Red and Silver.
After dinner we will be able to enjoy the Ring Café’s expansive dance floor to the music of a DJ. Unfortunately, the venue does not have an elevator.
Hotel
Update: The block of rooms at the InterCity Hotel is filled. We suggest that you can book within the Leipzig Ring roads that surround the city center and will mean you are within walking distance of all our venues. Examples of hotels in the area of the InterCity are the Marriott, Adina Apartment Hotel, Big Mama, H2 Hotel and, for a splurge – The Steigenberger Grand.
Please contact and book your hotel directly. If you would like to share the breakfast at the InterCity Hotel, which is the hotel we selected as the headquarters of the event, you can purchase the buffet breakfast there for 17€.
Transportation
There are convenient train connections to Leipzig from most nearby cities on Intercity Express and Intercity trains. Leipzig is also served by all the major bus companies.
Leipzig’s airport is the Flughafen Leipzig/Halle, a regional airport with connections to Frankfurt and Munich as well as several European cities. From the airport there is public transportation service to Leipzig’s central train station. There is convenient train service to Leipzig from the Berlin and Frankfurt airports. The Berlin airport is an hour and a half from Leipzig, Frankfurt is three and a half hours.
Registration for Guests
Registration is closed. We have 115 guests coming from all over Europe and we are excited to welcome them to Leipzig on May 5th.
The cost is 140 € for the weekend and includes all scheduled events except Saturday’s lunch. We assume that you will book a hotel room with breakfast included. No breakfast is provided by the Get2Gether.

Refund Policy – If you need to cancel your booking, we request a written notice. Cancellations made before 01 April, will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made between 01.- 14. April 2023 will incur a 30% fee. Cancellations made after 15. April 2023 will incur a 60% fee.
