International Women´s Day 2024: Celebrating Women´s Fight for Education
We will shine a light on Louise Otto Peters, Ethel Smyth and other women who lived in Leipzig in the 19th century and who were promoting women’s rights and education by their own courageous example – thus leading the way for other women to follow. And we will be looking at what we have achieved to date and – by focussing on access to education for women around the globe today – acknowledge how much more still needs to be done.
The event is organized by the International Women´s Club Leipzig e. V. in cooperation with Europahaus Leipzig e. V., the Museum of City History Leipzig and the Louise-Otto-Peters-Gesellschaft e.V.
Date, time and place: 8th March 2024, 10 am – 12 noon, Europahaus Leipzig, Markt 10, 04109 Leipzig
